According to reports, Two nexus device will launch in 2016. One of them
would be cheaper version Nexus whereas another would be premium version
similar to the the Nexus 6P and the Nexus 5X. The upcoming smaller
version of Nexus is said to be manufactured by HTC (codename –
Sailfish). The second smartphone recently spotted is codenamed as Marlin
and was spotted on the Geek-benchmark running the latest Android Nougat (Android N).
To remember the First Nexus phone ever was manufactured by HTC and was released in January 2010 named as ‘Nexus One’.
HTC Nexus (Sailfish) will have firing HTC BOOM speakers at the bottom
of the body. The processor will be 64 bit 2.0 GHz Quad Core Processor
(Manufacturer is unknown but likely to be a Snapdragon 820). It will
have 32 GB internal storage. The smartphone is expected to come with 3
GB of Ram.
The smartphone will have USB Type C support, Bluetooth 4.2, headphone jack on the top, etc.
HTC Nexus is said to launch with the launch of Google’s new Android Update i.e. Android N. Hence, HTC Nexus will be one of the first mobile to have pre-loaded Android N. HTC Nexus will launch in October or November 2016.
Speculations are that HTC Nexus will resemble HTC Desire series design rather than HTC 10 design.
Two Nexus Devices in development are named as ‘Sailfish’ and another

by HTC or Huawei (yet not confirmed). Marlin would be High End
Smartphone which will replace 2015’s Huawei Nexus 6P.
The Google Nexus Marlin was spotted recently on the Geekbench and
scored an impressive 4969 on multi-core performance and 2084 on the
single core performance.
It is likely running on the Snapdragon 820 and there is 4 GB of Ram which looks a bit low considering competition (OnePlus 3) flagship have now started to come with the 6 GB of Ram.
The Google Nexus Marlin is expected to come with a 5.5 inch screen and have the Quad HD resolution (2560*1440). The smartphone will come with 32 GB /128 GB storage options and will also have 3450 mAH battery capacity.
The smartphone is alleged to come with USB Type C port and will have 12 MP and 8 MP camera setup.
Both the smartphones are expected to get launched in September or
October 2016 and will come with the Android Nougat out of the Box.
HTC Nexus Sailfish:
The HTC Nexus will replace the 2015’s LG Nexus 5X. The specifications of HTC Nexus 2016 were surfaced online. HTC Nexus will come with 5 inch display with 1980 x 1080p resolution and 440 PPI.
